Tone Tellefsen Hughes

Tone is a Swedish Chiropractor with 24 years clinical experience, and the Director of the Luck's Yard Clinic in Milford. She is passionate about being part of the local community and have together with The Music Works launched a CD with teenage performers  in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

She also run workshops in schools  with students on how to reduce exam stress and how to use better study strategies. Her clinical team is committed to going out to the local Schools and working with students on posture and well being.

Ruth Wheeler

Ruth is a Sculptor and Yoga Teacher. Ruth studied Art and Philosophy and

Sociology at college and has always had a passion for working with people to help express

themselves through the Therapeutic nature of art . Ruth continues to run a successful local Arts Organisation SCULPT it for over 17 years and previously worked with adults with disabilities. Ruth has 7 years of yoga practise and is currently combining the Seasonal Yoga Training with her creative arts to create new venture which is soon to launch.

Verity Vinen

 

Verity is a practising Artist, Art teacher and Counsellor. Currently Head of Art

at St Ives, Haslemere, Verity previously taught at St Catherine’s, Bramley for 18

years. She has a strong pastoral background and was a School Housemistress and

5th/6th form tutor. Verity is passionate about the therapeutic power of the Arts, and often uses creative approaches in her therapeutic work as a Humanistic Counsellor.

Kate is a business coach/consultant specialising in Leadership.  She describes what she does as “Making work, work. performance, more fulfilment”. Kate has maintained a coaching portfolio for 16 years, and works often long term with a client base of from a veriety of professions. Kate has run a CV writing service for the last 9 years. Kate has twin 15-year old daughters and lives in Surrey. She's also the director of Music Works www.themusicworks.co and the singing academy, www.voices.co.

Andy Hart

Andy owns, built and runs The Music Works. When he isn’t building new bits of premises he is the lead vocal coach, working 1 to 1 with children and adults, from beginners to professionals.  He also co-leads the Voices Choirs, developing the vocal coaching programme that runs alongside all choir and group vocal activity.  Andy also works with local schools and other organisations, supporting events and providing music education, both in schools and here at The Music Works.    

Barney Trembley

 

Barney is a business psychologist, an authority on leadership, communication, and team development, and a motivational speaker.  She specialises in development at executive and board level as well as supporting personal development generally across the business world. She says “"How we relate to others is directly determined by how we feel about ourselves. Thus, we teach others how to treat us by our own behaviour.”

Kerry Pilbeam

Kerry is the Team Leader for the Youth Counselling Service, an NHS service operated by Virgin Care Services.  The Youth Counselling Service provides free and confidential counselling to 12-24 year olds, with any mild to moderate issue, who live, work or study across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.  Kerry has worked for the service for the past 12 years, and sees clients across Guildford, Waverley and Woking, offering a range of therapies dependant on each client's needs, recognising that each client is an individual and unique.  Kerry also has a background in Youth Work, and used to work within Surrey's Youth Development Service for Guildford's Youth Council, enabling young people to have a voice.

Dr Mariette Jansen (Dr De-Stress) is a psychological coach and meditation teacher, who helps people to understand what makes them unhappy and then empowers them to make changes that lead to a happy life.

She has written a selfhelp book to stop exam stress ‘How to stop exam stress forever in just 10 days’,  which is available as a book and as a video. She works with teenagers individually and in groups. She has designed an award winning stress management technique and has also published an introduction book on meditation.

Helga works as a marketing professional focusing on consumer brands, but has a keen interest in young people. She's gained a MSc in Psychology, and worked for the domestic violence charity Refuge, as well as been a mentor for teenagers for the charity Surrey Youth Trust. She firmly believes that you are the master of your own destiny, and that dreams and hard work can take you anywhere.
